ASC Appraisal Subcommittee
This Web site was created in October 1997. Its purpose is to make certain information regarding the ASC, Title XI of 1989 of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act, the National Registry of State Certified and Licensed Appraisers, and other related information available to the public.
Uniform standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
The Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989 recognizes USPAP as the generally accepted appraisal standards and requires USPAP compliance for appraisers in federally related transactions. State Appraiser Certification and Licensing Boards; federal, state, and local agencies, appraisal services; and appraisal trade associations require compliance with USPAP.
Alabama Real Estate Appraisers Board
AREAB was created by the State Legislature (ACT 90-639) in 1990. This followed the Enactment of Public Law 101-73 in 1989 which required that each of the states establish an agency for the licensure, certification and regulation of appraisers.
Georgia Real Estate Commission & Appraisers Board
Ensures professional competency among real estate licensees and appraisers and to promote a fair and honest market environment for practitioners and their customers and clients in real estate transactions in Georgia.
Appraisal Institute
The Appraisal Institute is a global membership association of professional real estate appraisers, with 22,000 members and 92 chapters throughout the world. Organized in 1932, its mission is to support and advance its members as the choice for real estate solutions and uphold professional credentials, standards of professional practice and ethics consistent with the public good. Members of the Appraisal Institute benefit from an array of professional education and advocacy programs, and may hold the prestigious MAI, SRPA and SRA designations.
Alabama Chapter of the Appraisal Institute
The Appraisal Institute is recognized as the leader in residential and commercial appraisal education, research, publishing, and professional membership designation programs. Members adhere to a strict Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Holding an Appraisal Institute membership sets appraisers apart from the rest of the appraisal community. Those that are designated are recognized as the most qualified in their fields.
Atlanta Chapter of the Appraisal Institute
The Atlanta Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute has been home to some of the appraisal profession's leading practitioners, educators, and authors since its founding in 1932. Designated members currently number over 300, residing or practicing within the Chapter's boundaries. The Chapter covers most of the state of Georgia with the exception of the Savannah area. We have approximately 300 associate members and 50 affiliate members.
